The Challenge
The opportunity was to modernise an established heritage food platform without losing recognition, search value or regional relevance.
The existing Joomla website had reached the natural limits of its original build. Layouts were harder to adapt for modern devices, content management was less flexible and the platform needed a clearer structure for audiences in Ireland, the UK and Australia. The project needed careful handling: protect the brand's heritage, preserve important content and create a stronger foundation for regional journeys, product discovery and ongoing updates. The language around the migration was kept respectful because the work was about platform evolution, not criticising the previous digital presence.

The Solution
We rebuilt the experience around WordPress, structured content and clearer paths from brand story to product action.
Global strategy, UI and UX design, WordPress development, eCommerce integration, technical SEO migration and content architecture were brought into one more flexible platform. The new site connected corporate identity elements, recipe content, store information, regional routes and the shop subdomain, while custom content structures made recipes and history content easier to manage over time. That gave the brand more flexibility while keeping the heritage story, product content and shopping routes connected.



The Process
The migration was planned carefully around content, SEO, regional behaviour and day-to-day management.
We audited the Joomla database, mapped priority content and planned the migration before rebuilding the core journeys in WordPress. The design phase translated the warmth of the physical brand into a clear digital interface, while development focused on recipe content, regional IP considerations, store locator functionality and shop integration. Technical SEO planning helped protect important pages during the move, so the new site could support both brand storytelling and practical shopping behaviour. The migration choices were made carefully so important content and search value could carry into the rebuilt platform.
