The Challenge
A unicorn in waiting, hidden below the surface. XOCEAN was growing faster than its infrastructure could handle.
With a mission to map the world's oceans carbon-neutrally, they faced a "Hardware vs. Software" perception gap. Investors and energy majors saw them as a "boat company," not the high-tech data platform they truly were. Commercially, the stakes were massive: they were entering consecutive fundraising rounds (Series B & C) and needed to signal "Global Standard" to institutional investors like Morgan Stanley and Venturewave. The website had to shift from a brochure of boats to a real-time dashboard of global operations.
The Solution
We built "Mission Control"—a digital interface that brings the ocean to the boardroom.
We stripped away the nautical clichés and engineered a "Data-First" aesthetic inspired by satellite telemetry and dark-mode dashboards. The new architecture focuses on Live Fleet Capability, visualising the XO-450 vessels as they harvest data in real-time. We built a robust recruitment pipeline into the core navigation to fuel their global hiring spree, and integrated a "Carbon Calculator" that instantly quantifies the environmental impact of using USVs over traditional ships. This wasn't just a website; it was a due diligence asset.
The Process
Scaling the infrastructure for a €115M future. We executed a "Speed-to-Value" deployment, ensuring the new digital footprint was live ahead of critical investor talks.
The site was hardened with enterprise-grade security and GDPR protocols to satisfy the compliance teams of global energy partners. On the backend, we implemented an aggressive SEO strategy targeting niche terms like "Hydrographic USV Data" and "Offshore Wind Survey," positioning XOCEAN as the only logical answer for the Blue Economy.
