The Challenge
A product you can taste; a story you couldn't see. The bakery had an incredible history, but it was locked inside the heads of the founders.
Their previous online presence was functional but cold, missing the "secret ingredient" that made the brand special: the people behind it. In a market flooded with mass-produced options, Kearney's needed to lean into their greatest strength—their humanity. They needed a platform that could communicate the care, the ingredients, and the heritage of "Traditional Irish Baking" to a new generation of customers who value provenance over convenience.
The Solution
We designed a site that feels like a warm welcome. We steered clear of cold, minimalist trends.
Instead, we built a visual identity rooted in warmth—using a palette of deep, baking-inspired tones and a classic, trustworthy typeface that speaks to their 30-year heritage. The new site prioritises the "Story"—putting Maura and Siobhan front and centre. We organized the extensive product range—from traditional Soda Breads to Gluten-Free treats—into an intuitive, visual menu that feels like browsing a kitchen table rather than a database.
The Process
Baking the narrative into every pixel. We focused on "Digital Aromatics"—using rich imagery and evocative copy to trigger sensory memories.
We highlighted their "Field to Fork" philosophy and their clean, simple recipes, ensuring that the commitment to "wholesome ingredients" was the first thing a visitor sees. This narrative layer is supported by a robust Technical SEO framework targeting terms like "Traditional Irish Bakers," ensuring that when the diaspora searches for a taste of home, Kearney's is the first name they see.
